Eversley Cricket Club News story

Eversley CC opportunities

19 Jan 2019

Hello all,

Following on from my New Year's address I would like to remind everyone of the roles and teams with vacancies at the club where we could use your help.

2019 is going to be an exciting year of investments and improvements at Eversley CC, why not get involved and be part of these great times!?

Match teams. For the continuous running of the club we know and love the following teams could use some new recruits, please contact the people listed to get involved.

Colts BBQ team - Sam Kirby

Saturday tea team - Emma Sharp

Grounds team - Chris Last

All of these are social and fun teams to be part of that need no experience to join so please consider them if you have a few hours spare a week.

Treasurer. Following the successful recruitment of Sue Howorth to help with the club's book keeping and payments we are now looking for a club treasurer to monitor and report on our finances. If you have any skills or experience in this area and can offer a few hours a month then I would love to hear from you.

Fireworks. In exciting news, the ESA is planning to run another Fireworks display in the autumn of this year!!  Leading the team is an expert in the field who works for a fireworks company so this has the potential to be the best ever display. ECC therefore needs some volunteers to help make this happen both on the day and in the planning stages. If you can offer some knowledge and expertise in putting on events like this then again I would be very interested to hear from you.

PCA Game. For the implementation of the fundraising and organising of the PCA day we need some keen recruits to pursue sponsorship opportunities and sell seats in the marquee. Any prospective sales experts (little experience needed) should contact Lawrence Cummings or I.

ESA Committee. We have successfully recruited Martin Perkin but there is still spaces available to have your say and your input valued on how the club and ESA is run. Enthusiasm is the only pre-requisite so please consider getting involved by contacting Gary Ford for or I.

Buildings. And Finally, ECC is contemplating some potential renovations to the facilities on Cross Green. Should you have any experience in building or project management then I would love to hear from you.

I fully appreciate everyone is busy these days with commitments pulling you in different directions but I promise that even if you or someone you know only have one evening a month available this will make a huge difference to the club.

Thank you all and speak to you soon.
