CRICKET IS HERE!!!
Hello everyone and happy start of the season from all of us on the club committee.
We are delighted you all can join us back on Cross Green and Slater Bradley Park (ex-Fox Lane). I am particularly thankful to all in the colts section who are reviving the Friday club nights, if you haven’t yet come down then I highly recommend having a visit for a chat, drink and some of the lovely food on offer. Whilst you are there please do check out our incredible revitalised and rejuvenated changing rooms and grounds shed, they look fantastic!
As we get underway with the 2022 season it is a bit of a relief for the club committee who have been working hard all winter to put plans in place and ensure things run smoothly. I can honestly say all of us club members owe the leadership team a huge amount for their dedication and perseverance as they continue to make this one of the best clubs for miles around. Personally I claim no credit for this success and am continuously amazed by the efforts put in around me by all who give up their time.
However amazing the club volunteers are, they are only human and unfortunately due to some attrition are now a little shorthanded. So, I come to you this evening with half an appeal and half an exciting opportunity for some of you to put your own stamp on our remarkable community.
All parts of the club are open for you to learn about and consider volunteering for but we do have some specific areas that need some direct input including: Fundraising, Club Welfare, Project Manager (Benefit match etc), Facilities and some others.
I will be at the club this Friday and Saturday night ready to chat to anyone and everyone who might like to give something back, please do say hello!
