Yateley Hockey Club, the sister club of Eversley CC are offering some courses for children who would like to give hockey a go
- HOCKEY HEROES (for 5–8-year-olds)
This England Hockey initiative is an eight-week hockey programme aimed at beginners that not only focuses on helping children develop some physical hockey superpowers such as dribbling, passing and goal scoring, but also places as much emphasis on character development superpowers including teamwork, communication, perseverance and respect. Our aim is for children to have lots of fun, experience lots of success, and feel like a hero! This will boost their confidence, and ensure a positive experience of physical activity and sport that will have a beneficial effect in the rest of their life.

This 4-week course is specifically aimed at those in upper junior school or beginning secondary school interested in playing hockey for the first time. Playing hockey is a great way to meet new friends, have fun and get active. This course offers a gentle introduction to the game, teaching the basics of ball control, dribbling and tackling.
