Welcome to Eversley Cricket Club

Cricket has been played at our Cross Green ground since 1787 and is one of the oldest grounds in the South of England.

We recently expanded our facilities, behind Cross Green, to incorporate a second cricket ground and a state of the art cricket indoor training centre (ITC). A number of well known cricketers, including Monty Panesar, Nick Compton and the Australian International Ladies team have used these facilities together with the Ian Botham Cricket School.

These facilities, including our club house, are available for hire please contact the Club.

We run five adult mens sides on a Saturday competing in the Thames Valley League, with our First X1 playing in Division 1, a Sunday friendly side and a number of local competitions. We have a ladies team playing in the Hampshire Cricket League and a very successful colts section with over 200 boys and girls playing from ages U9 to U15.

For the current season we are proud to have 35 colts representing District and County sides. If you would like to find out more about our colts please contact Dave Howorth.

There are numerous sponsorship/advertising opportunities open with the club. If you are interested, please contact our Sponsorship Officer, Joe Howorth

The Club is always looking for new adult players and if anyone is interested they should contact Scott Sharp, Director of Cricket for more information or join us in our Indoor Training Centre for winter nets on Sunday's at 12:30.

Girls & Ladies
2022 will be our 10th season. In 2019 we introduced a softball team for the Ladies who had a very successful and enjoyable season.  We provide both softball and hardball options to our female players. We are a very social cricket team and have plenty of fun! If you would like to find out more about our ladies team please contact Beth Matthews.

The Big Game

Friday August 27th - PCA England XI v Eversley

We were delighted to host the PCA Masters England XI at our picturesque Cross Green ground in June 2019.

Captained by Alex Tudor, the England XI ran out winners by 7 runs in a keenly contested match.  Ali Brown (Surrey) hit a glorious 76 in England's total of 161 from their 20 overs. Then the Eversley batsmen faced up to the likes of Matthew Hoggard, Devon Malcoln and Monty Panesar. Tom Howorth earned man of the match honours with 59 not out, as Eversley came up short.

The main event was preceded by some of the England stars coaching a group of our talented colts. There was a large hospitality presence in the Marquee, Ascot Ales on site and a sizzling barbecue - plus the obligatory Ice Cream van which all helped the day to be a memorable one!

We are indebted to our principal Cricket Day Sponsor, Crest Nicholson, for their assistance in making this event possible  Thanks also to R. Collard Ltd. for their assistance as Ground Sponsor and Macbeth Insurance, our Kit Sponsors.

(L) Umpires, Captains and event organiser Lawrence Cummings      (R) Tom Howorth receives his award from Simon Claxton of sponsors Macbeth Insurance
