Andrew Niblett is a former first-class cricketer and highly qualified coach who is seeking global player/coach assignments. He has played club and representative cricket in South Africa, New Zealand, England, Netherlands and Australia. He boasts impressive playing and coaching credentials and its the latter he's looking to progress in future.
Niblett, emigrated from his native South Africa in 2002 to explore the potential of professional cricket in New Zealand. After consistent performances in both Auckland and Hawkes Bay, he was rewarded with domestic cricket in 2006/07, playing 5 first-class matches for a Central Districts side that included Blackcap stars Ross Taylor, Jamie How and Mathew Sinclair to name a few. Although he only played a solitary domestic season, he has continued to perform at Premier level for Napier Old Boys's Marist in Hawkes Bay and more recently Takapuna in the Auckland Premier Competition.
A genuine all-rounder, Niblett bowls a heavy ball and opened the Central Districts attack and batted in the middle-order. He has now ceased his first-class ambitions to pursue a coaching career. He is a personal trainer and someone who is committed to developing young talent in future.
Niblett has played extensively abroad, both in the UK and Australia with huge success. He is now looking for another player/coach role for the UK 2017 season, ideally in the South of England, but will consider all options. He comes highly recommended by various sources, including Auckland cricket who endorse him as a player/coach. A fantastic all-round option and great bloke to boot for player/coach assignments abroad.
