Eversley Cricket Club - Ladies cricket

Ladies Cricket at Eversley CC

Welcome to the Ladies of Eversley Cricket Club

It is well documented that cricket has been played by women for well over 250 years with the Wikipedia entry highlighting the sometimes competitive nature of the matches in their
History of Women's Cricket !

More recently at Eversley a girls colts section was set up under the guidance of Terry Lynch which has successfully grown and enabled many youngsters to have fun and enjoy one of the fastest growing women's sports in the country.

In previous years
a number of Eversley ladies and girls have played for local sides and with the increasing interest we have set up a ladies team under the captaincy of Sue Davies. After a successful start competing in the 6-a-side Eversley Indoor League we have entered a team into the Hampshire Womens League.

For 2015 we are in Division 2 competing against teams that enjoy Ladies cricket. Matches are on Sundays from 2:00pm and include an excellent cricket tea.

As a relatively new side we are looking for girls and ladies to join us, both on and off the field, as we need players as well as supporters to help with the team...and teas!

No previous experience is necessary

If you want to see what it's all about come down to Eversley.

Outdoor training is on Friday evenings from 6:00pm (although most arrive from 6:30pm) we finish about 8:00pm in time for the BBQ.

If you would like to know more please contact Mike Tresise who will be very happy to provide you with information and details.
