Eversley Cricket Club

Firstly a big congratulations to Lewis Sharp our Club Coach on making his debut for Berkshire in their recent win over Dorset. Lewis took 1 wicket for a measly 46 from his 19 overs. Lewis was a Junior cricketer at Eversley from U9 through to U17 and commented "I've been working my way towards this for the last 5-6 years and it just shows that if you enjoy your cricket and work hard you can go a long way". Secondly another big congratulations to Ben Salter who as an Eversley U15 batted with huge maturity, focus and resilience in a critically important rear guard action to save the match in the first teams top of the table clash with Reading, a result that keeps Eversley at the top of the table above Reading with 4 games to play. Keeping Reading out with a 6 not out from 66 balls under intense pressure despite having been away all week playing in the National U15 ECB "Best of the Counties" Bunbury tournament.
