Thanks to all those (70+) that attended last night's Xmas social & Outdoor Nets fundraising launch (or bought raffle tickets by proxy), it was great to see members from across Juniors, Men's & Women's cricket.
Thanks in particular to those that made the event happen and those that donated some great Raffle prizes..
In addition to a great social event we launched our fundraising and made in excess of £1500 (raffle, food, Xmas wreaths & pre loved kit sales), which means that we start the fundraising having already raised in excess of £4500.
The attached document explains the why, what & how of the new outdoor nets.
As you can see we have a team working on the various ways in which we hope to raise the funds.
The key points are as follows :
- We need the new outdoor nets due to the success of the club...this is a nice problem to have!
- With the new outdoor nets together with our ITC (£25k+ spent on new energy efficient lights over the winter) Eversley will have a cricketing facility as good as anything in the south of England providing great facilities for all of our members for years to come.
- We will only raise the money if all of our members get involved and we use your contacts with the outside world to bring in funds via sponsorship, donations, attendance at events, PCA Day etc etc
- The sooner we can raise the money, the sooner we can place the order for the nets.
So please get involved, send us ideas, come along to the social events, approach your employers, make a donation, we need more people on our fundraising teams......
We will be sending out more information on the Crowdfunding page & the events programme shortly (including details on the Evening with Andrew Strauss event which will be held at our clubhouse on Friday 3rd February.
