We have in the last few days received some fantastic news in that a £30k donation has been made which means that we have now raised the necessary funds for a state of the art 3 enclosed 3 net system.
We had already placed a £30k deposit with Slatters who are installing the system, we are now talking to them regarding an installation date, it won't be in time for the start of the outdoor season but we are confident that it will be installed as some point during the cricket season.
The new nets system will cost £85-£90k and to raise this level of funds in 15 months is a terrific effort by all of those involved in making this happen & to all of our members who have made contributions to the fund raising.
As a reminder, below is a breakdown of how we have raised these funds :
£33k from member fund raising events & donations.
£22k from club reserves (monies raised over previous years eg PCA Days, Covid grants etc).
£10k ECB Grant.
£30k individual member donation.
As a club we will have unrivalled cricketing facilities for miles & miles around - two hard ball pitches, a junior soft ball pitch (the "Pony Field"), an Indoor Training Centre, five outdoor nets including a brand new state of the art enclosed 3 net system.
